Sunday - September 23 2007 - 1100 PST - Isabelle was 70 nautical miles away of a shiny victory of the first leg of the 16th edition of the Transat 6,50 Charente-Maritime/Bahia...Samuel Manuard (Sitting Bull) is over 40 miles behind and Yves Le Blévec (Actual) is over 60. The 2nd leg route is still long to Bahia (3100 nautical miles) but Isabelle has certainly sent a serious warning to the rest of the fleet she plans to win. Stay tuned for a later afternoon post of the first finishers. Unless Isabelle breaks down or falls into a windless hole her 40 mile lead should be enough to finish first in the large mini fleet.
